Surf Praia da Rocha - Portimão
The Perfect Spot for All Levels
Praia da Rocha is the most consistent surf spot on Portugal’s south coast, making it ideal for beginners and experienced surfers alike. In the calm middle section of the beach, newcomers find the safest place to learn, while advanced riders head to the challenging jetty peak for powerful waves and bigger thrills.
Surf Costa Vicentina
Wild Nature &
Legendary Waves
Stretching from Burgau to Odeceixe, the Costa Vicentina lies within the Sudoeste Alentejano Natural Park and offers some of Portugal’s most stunning surf scenery. Our favorite spot is Vale Figueiras Beach in Aljezur — famous for its natural beauty, consistent waves, and as the home of the legendary Open Vale Figueiras surf event.

Surf History
Surf originated in the 16th century on the island of Hawaii, the natives surfed with “Olaias”. But it was in the 50s / 60s that there was a big boom in California, and since then it has spread all over the world, especially in Australia, Brazil and South Africa, where various boards and materials have developed over time.
